The Arlington County staff are working on a major overhaul of the county's sign ordinance. Changes would include reducing greatly the County Board's role in reviewing rooftop signs and sign plans for major projects; allowing more types of signs, including sandwich boards along sidewalks, through an adminstrative process; and allowing more signs in public spaces such as median strips.

The public meeting is a forum for comments and questions on the draft ordinance. Information on the update process and summaries of comments received during previous meetings may be found on the project web site.
